Originally from Roseburg, Oregon, Melissa Lingle has lived all over the country, finally settling in Northeastern, PA in 1997. She is wife to Joe Lingle and mother to four almost grown children, Robert, Sarah, Katie, and Carolynn. Melissa works as the full time elementary music teacher for the Riverside School District; teaching all the general music classes and conducting three choirs, including the select group, Viking Voices. In addition to teaching, her talents include playing piano and flute, and singing for her church worship team.She holds both a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education from Pensacola Christian College and a Master’s of Education Degree in Curriculum and Design from Summit University. She is an active member of PMEA, NAfME, & ACDA and spends evenings teaching college classes to future music educators and will now spend her summers teaching musical theatre at the Creative and Performing Arts Academy of NEPA at Lackawanna College in Scranton.
