SCRANTON SUMMER MUSIC INSTITUTE (SSMI)
Scranton Summer Music Institute (SSMI) is Northeastern PA’s premiere camp for vocalists and instrumentalists in the 7th through 12th grade. Students will participate in a variety of ensembles, as well as take courses in musicianship, theory composition, improvisation, and more. Led by the region’s top music educators and performers, SSMI is a surefire way to take your musicianship to the next level as well as meet like-minded friends that will last a lifetime.

Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel
Sunday, July 1st (7pm move-in for overnight campers at the Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel), Monday July 2nd programming begins at 9AM for daytime and overnight campers through Saturday, July 7th (Final Concert at 3pm). July 4th is a regular camp day with special programming.
Day Camper: Tuition $300, 9am- 4pm Monday, July 2nd through Saturday, July 7th, includes daily lunch, vegetarian options are available.
Overnight Camper: Tuition $650, Move-in on Sunday, July 1st at 7pm. Programming Monday July 2nd through Saturday July 7th. Includes daily breakfast-lunch-dinner.
Residence at the Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel.
Registration deadline is June 1st. $25 Deposit is due upon registration to hold spot.
Payment in full must be submitted no later than June 7th, 2018. Checks should be addressed to SSMI and sent to SSMI/CaPAA, 222 Wyoming Ave, Scranton, PA.

- 8am – Breakfast for OVERNIGHT campers
- 9am – Day Campers arrive, Class and Rehearsals begin
- 12pm – Lunch
- 1pm – Class and Rehearsals
- 4pm – Day Campers Depart
- 5pm – Dinner for OVERNIGHT campers
- 6pm – Evening Activities for OVERNIGHT campers
- 9pm – Return to Hotel

SSMI – Performance Scholarship Contest!
Three $100 scholarships are up available to PMEA District, Region, and All State Musicians. One will be awarded to each level.
How? Record a technical etude or solo passage between 1-2 minutes in duration. Email to email@example.com on or before April 15th, 2018. Please include your name, school, and what your PMEA level.
The scholarship winners will be announced the week of April 16th!
