LaToya Martin

LaToya Martin is a veteran singer/dancer/actress originally from Staten Island, NY who has travelled all over the US and overseas with her 20 year performing career.

Starting out as a singer at the “famed” Laguardia HS of Performing Arts, she moved on to earn a B.F.A in Music Theatre from Syracuse University.

Although she has held many different positions as background singer, background dancer for musical greats such as Roger Daltry, Changing Faces, Jody Walter, Gloria Estefan and Salt N Pepa, musical theatre is where her heart lies.

She has performed in the regional theatre productions of Rugrats: A Live Adventure, Ragtime, The King and I to name a few and after moving to Pennsylvania to be with husband/professional stagehand/business representative/technical director Benjamin Martin they created a trio of beautiful children!

She began to teach dance and musical theatre audition prep classes at Marywood University, Linn McDonald School of Dance as well as choreographing musicals for Scranton High School.She most recently returned to the stage as Deloris Van Cartier in Music Box Players production of Sister Act and is determined to continue doing what she loves, sharing her talent with and mentoring a new generation of performers.
