Intern – Emily Shaffer

Emily Shaffer is graduating from Western Wayne high school in June. She was involved in student government, TSA, and coaches vs cancer. She has been a dancer since the age of 4 and has a passion for musical theatre. Emily studied with Cristina Sohns Williams for many years and was thrilled to join the Abington Civic League Dance Academy this past year.

We first met Emily during our production of Harry Connick Jr’s, “The Happy Elf” three years ago. Some of her favorite roles with CaPAA include Mrs. Salt in “Willy Wonka,” Iris Kelly in “FAME,” Elaine in “High School Musical,” and (forever in her heart) the most evil Scar in “The Lion King.” She just portrayed both Cinderella and Rapunzel in CaPAA’s recent production of “Into the Woods.”

Emily is attending Marywood University in the fall to pursue a nursing degree and hopes to be active in their musical theatre department.
